Although our mail goes to the New Kent post office, we are actually close to the small communityof Quinton.  As you can tell from the map, Quinton is between Richmond and Williamsburg.  Before retiring, I worked south of Richmond at what is shown on the map as Bellwood Manor (the manor house is now the Officer's Club on the base).  Cissy works on the west side of Williamsburg.  Since both directions are mostly interstate highway, both of our commutes were about 45 minutes.

We are only about 40 miles from the Chesapeake Bay.  The little spring fed creek that starts on the property adjacent to us flows through our land, then finds its way to the ocean by way of the Pamunkey and York rivers and the Bay.

Directions to New Kent County Airport

• From I-64 east, take exit 205 (Quinton/Bottoms Bridge)

• Turn right at bottom of exit ramp onto SR 249 (New Kent Highway)

• Proceed 1/8 mile

• Turn left onto SR 60 (Pocahontas Trail)

• Proceed east ~3 miles, past Toe Ink Wayside

• At Airport sign, turn left on SR 540

• Proceed ~3 miles, follow airport signs, to airport entrance

Directions to Dave Meier’s house

• From I-64 east, take exit 205 (Quinton/Bottoms Bridge)

• Turn left at bottom of exit ramp onto SR 249 (New Kent Highway)

• Proceed 4+ miles

• Turn left on SR 612 (Tunstall Station Road)

• Proceed ~2 miles

• Turn right onto SR 1070 (Marl Springs Drive)

• Proceed 1100 feet, look for number 6560 on mailbox (left side)

• From I-64 west, take exit 211 (Talleysville)

• Turn right at bottom of exit ramp onto SR 106

• Proceed 1.5 miles

• Turn left on SR 249 (New Kent Highway)

• Proceed 2 miles

• Turn right onto SR 612 (Tunstall Station Road)

• Proceed 2 miles

• Turn right onto SR 1070 (Marl Springs Drive)

• Proceed 1100 feet, look for number 6560 on mailbox (left side)
